Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your Blind Pear account and the personal data associated with it. There are two ways to do it, depending on whether you can still sign in.

If you can sign in

1. Open Blind Pear and go to Settings.
2. Tap Delete account.
3. Type delete to confirm.

Deletion runs immediately and cannot be undone. Your email is freed, so you can sign up again later with the same address if you want to.

If you cannot sign in

Email blind.pear@yahoo.com from the email address on the account, with the subject Account deletion request.

We reply to confirm the request came from you, then delete the account. Requests are completed within 30 days, and usually much sooner.

What is deleted

• Your profile, including name, age, location, prompts and bio
• All photos, removed from storage
• Your questionnaire answers and personality results
• Interests, favourite media and connected music artists
• Likes, passes and matches
• Blocks and reports you created
• Your discovery and matching preferences
• Push notification tokens
• Your login credentials, which frees the email address for reuse

What is kept, and why

Messages you sent stay in the other person's chat history. They are detached from your profile and shown as coming from "Deleted user", with no account name or photo. We keep them because deleting them would destroy the other person's copy of a conversation they took part in. Message text may still contain information you chose to include.

Limited records may also be retained when required for legal, fraud-prevention, safety, or security reasons, and service providers may retain backups for a limited period.

Subscriptions

Deleting your Blind Pear account does not cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Manage or cancel the subscription through your store account.
